The other day in the Thoughtful Raven Members Room call we were talking about boundaries.
Which might sound farcical to you, especially if you arrived here through a psychological paradigm that said you can be perfectly okay in any circumstance.
I’m going to use a word that comes up a lot for me: levels!
YOU are always perfectly okay – you awareness, the essence of all being, the open capcacity to know experience.
And an element of that known experience is the first person experience of being Sara. As a character, Sara can be overwhelmed or hurt, even while awareness is perfectly okay.
The okayness, in its infinite wisdom, holds the possibility of expereincing itself as though not-okay.
So, at the level of this first person experience of mind-body-soul, boundaries make sense. These might be instinctive and natural boundaries. Or, if you are deconditioning from trauma, these might be conscious and practised boundaries.
Think of a boundary as energetically taking up your space in the world – body and aura/electrical field. It’s the way a human can meet another human, when both are showing up fully.
A boundary is an expression of our innate wholeness in this experience of self-in-a-world. It is not a threat, a compromise, a protection, a rule.
It is the moment by moment honouring of all of experience, including this first person human perspective.
Love, Sara
