It’s okay if you are. Most people exploring spirituality feel lost or confused at times.
Who to follow? Why do these two teachers disagree? What if that teaching doesn’t resonate? How come I understand but I don’t feel it? Where even am I?
Self-reflection and questioning are important parts of your spiritual journey. As Terry Pratchett said:
“The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they’ve found it.”
But over-analysis, desperation, hiding our feelings, or self-blame aren’t helpful.
And the single biggest problem?
This might sound harsh, but it’s teachers who don’t realise where their modality (or whole suite of modalities) sits within the wider spiritul landscape. There isn’t blame here – so many modalities are presented as the single answer to everything, that the teacher has been left in ignorance. Especially if they come from a “teachers teaching teachers to teach teachers” lineage (same applies for “coaches…”)
The problems were obvious – a whole load of seekers being innocently misled.
The causes unveiled themselves slowly over time.
Then we sat down to map the landscape of personal spiritual development…
…and we realised why it’s avoided.
A nice neat table quickly became a three dimensional description. With influencing factors. And that was just the high level view.
But if you don’t know the landscape, you can’t know where you are at, how where you’ve been has contributed, or where you are going.
Which is why we are sharing it.
If you’ve ever secretly felt a bit lost or your spiritual journey, come and join the conversation. We’ve got a free workshop next week, and a newly developed guide we’re only sharing with those who register for the workshop. The recording, as always, will be available to members
With Love,
Sara
